Season 1

Season 1 introduces **Koro-sensei**, a tentacled creature capable of moving at Mach 20, who has destroyed part of the Moon and threatens to do the same to Earth the following March. He demands to become the teacher of **Class 3-E** at Kunugigaoka Junior High — the school's worst and most marginalized students. The Japanese government offers **10 billion yen** to anyone who manages to kill Koro-sensei. The students of Class 3-E are officially tasked with this mission, armed with special bullets and knives that are lethal to him but harmless to humans. Despite the assassination mission, Koro-sensei turns out to be an **exceptional teacher** — attentive, funny, and deeply invested in each student's progress. As the episodes go on, assassination attempts multiply — often clever, always doomed to fail — while the students, particularly **Nagisa** and **Karma**, grow and flourish. Government agents such as **Karasuma** and spy **Irina Jelavić** join the class to help eliminate the target, with no greater success. The season also explores **Koro-sensei's mysterious past**, hinting at a former life as an assassin, and raises the central question: can the students really bring themselves to kill the one who has become their greatest teacher?
