Chainsaw Man

Season 1

Season 1 follows **Denji**, a miserable young man who survives by hunting demons alongside his demon dog **Pochita**, whose built-in chainsaw allows him to fight. After being betrayed and slaughtered by yakuza working for a demon, Denji merges with Pochita and is reborn as **Chainsaw Man**, a human-demon hybrid with chainsaws bursting from his body. He is then forcibly recruited by **Makima**, a mysterious and charismatic agent of the government demon-hunting organization, the **Public Safety Bureau**. Placed in **Division 4** under the command of **Aki Hayakawa**, a serious and rigid hunter, and paired with **Power**, a blood demon as violent as she is unpredictable, Denji forms a trio that is equal parts dysfunctional and endearing. Throughout their missions, the group faces increasingly powerful demons, including the **Bat Demon**, the **Serpent Demon**, and the fearsome **Demon Hunter Killers** — assassins sent by foreign organizations to seize Chainsaw Man's heart. The season gradually unveils the true nature of **Makima**, whose intentions prove far darker and more calculating than they first appear, culminating in shocking revelations that turn everything upside down. At the heart of the story: a young man who dreams of nothing more than simple things — having enough to eat, living a normal life — yet is dragged by fate into a spiral of violence and manipulation.
