After a chaotic teaching internship, Onizuka lands a job at a prestigious private school, assigned to their infamous "problem class" — the one that drove every previous teacher to quit. The former gangster brings his own brand of tough love to his students, determined to teach them life lessons they'll never forget. His troublemakers are among the sharpest kids in Japan, who favour a more "intellectual" approach to making their teacher's life hell. Along the way, Onizuka clashes with a hostile faculty, an outraged PTA, and one scheming vice-principal — all while slowly earning the trust and respect of his class, one student at a time.
