In a dystopian future, society is governed by the Sibyl System, an intelligence capable of measuring each individual’s likelihood of committing crimes, known as their “Psycho-Pass.” The story follows Akane Tsunemori, a newly recruited inspector in the Public Safety Bureau, tasked with maintaining order alongside the Enforcers—latent criminals used to track down other suspects. Quickly confronted with the system’s brutality, Akane works with Shinya Kogami, an experienced Enforcer with a troubled past. Together, they investigate increasingly complex crimes while questioning the justice imposed by Sibyl. Their investigation leads them to Shogo Makishima, an elusive criminal capable of evading the system’s judgment, exposing the deep flaws of this supposedly perfect society.
