Le premier jour de Subaru au manoir de Roswaal recommence pour la troisième fois. La première fois, il s'est affaibli et est mort de causes inconnues dans son sommeil, et la deuxième fois, il a été tué par un agresseur. Le bruit de chaînes qu'il a entendu au moment de sa mort la deuxième fois rejoue dans son esprit, le réveillant dans une sueur froide de terreur.
