Oshi no Ko Season 1

Chapter 11 — Idol

The episode opens with the "Idol" opening sequence paying tribute to Ai Hoshino, then cuts to backstage at a music festival where performers, including members of B Komachi, are preparing for their sets. First, a group of fans and industry people discuss the new B Komachi, noting that the group shares its name with Ai's legendary former group, and that Ai died before fulfilling her ambitions. Then, Ruby, MEM-cho, and Kana perform on the Star Stage, marking Ruby's first live concert appearance. In the middle of the episode, the group gathers after the performance and tension surfaces when Aqua's romantic situation with Akane becomes a topic of conversation, visibly affecting Kana. It is then revealed that Aqua was secretly disguised as the mascot character Pieyon during the group's dance lessons, a fact Kana confronts him about directly. Meanwhile, Akane receives news from her manager that a new job has been lined up, and she learns she will be working with Aqua again on the Tokyo Blade stage play, alongside Kana — setting up a rivalry between the two actresses. At the end of the episode, director Kaburagi expresses excitement about pitting Kana and Akane against each other in the production. Aqua, reflecting on a memory of Ai wondering what her children would become, reaffirms his resolve to find the man responsible for Ai's death by any means necessary, with the Tokyo Blade play serving as his next step toward that goal.
