Chapter 11 — Episode 11

**Dr. Stone – Season 1, Episode 11** First, Kohaku and Kinro are sparring as part of tournament preparation, while Senku and Chrome focus on advancing their science kingdom. Senku declares that the next critical material to produce is glass — humanity's first scientifically synthesized material — explaining that ceramic vessels are no longer sufficient for the complex chemistry needed to create the sulfa drug that will cure Ruri. Then, Senku removes Suika's melon helmet, revealing that she wears it because she is severely nearsighted and the small holes create a pinhole effect that helps her see. Moved by her wish to one day see the world clearly, the group commits to making glass specifically to craft eyeglasses for her. Chrome leads them to a location where he once found transparent stones as a child, pointing them toward a source of silica sand for glassmaking. Later, the group recruits Kaseki, an elderly master craftsman from the village, by appealing to his irresistible curiosity about glassworking. With Kaseki's expert hands, they successfully produce glass equipment and build a proper laboratory. Suika, now wearing her new glasses, helps energetically with the work. At the end, with the glass lab complete, Senku announces that the first product will be a silver spear — a byproduct of the silver needed for the sulfa drug — and declares that the team must now embark on a dangerous expedition to retrieve the most critical remaining ingredient, warning that the mission carries a real risk of death.
