Chapter 5 — Episode 5

**Beginning:** The episode opens with Tsukasa confronting Senku, demanding he swear to abandon science forever — otherwise he will kill him. Senku refuses, and Tsukasa strikes him with a lethal blow to the cervical spine. Taiju and Yuzuriha witness the attack, and Taiju, devastated, desperately tries CPR on Senku's seemingly lifeless body. **Middle:** Taiju and Yuzuriha devise a plan against Tsukasa: while Taiju draws Tsukasa's attention with a decoy rock throw, Yuzuriha uses gunpowder that Senku had previously prepared as a surprise attack. Recalling Senku's words that "science makes everyone equal," they fight back together. Then, Taiju and Yuzuriha realize that Senku had deliberately exposed his neck to Tsukasa's strike, and that petrification residue remained there — meaning the revival fluid could heal even a broken neck when the stone cracks away. They apply the revival fluid to Senku's petrified neck area. **Finally:** Senku revives, and upon waking, his first instinct is to methodically preserve evidence from his own body and surroundings. Alone in the Stone World, he declares April 1st, 5738 AD as "Year Zero" and begins rebuilding civilization from scratch — crafting stone tools, learning to make fire through trial and error, and ultimately succeeding. He proudly declares himself the sole "human" on Earth and vows to rebuild scientific civilization from zero.
